The XRP price surged 5% in the last 24 hours to trade at $2.69 as of 3:40 a.m. EST on trading volume that soared 10% to $5.41 billion. The Ripple token’s price surged as the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) acknowledged another XRP ETF filing on Feb. 19, this time from Wisdom Tree. The acknowledgment has triggered a three-week comment period that will allow industry experts, investors, and even the general public to provide input on how the regulator should handle the application. The SEC will then take them into consideration when the time comes to make a decision about whether to approve, delay, or reject the application.
